Binghamton Crew begins its 21st year as a rowing club on the Susquehanna River. Since our inaugural season in 1988, our club has grown from a small band of student-athletes with wooden shells to a highly competitive group with some modern equipment.
As our club grows in numbers and prowess, equipment needs outpace funds from the University and current fundraising undertakings. The club is constantly looking towards replacing older equipment, some of which is more than thirty years old!
We are looking to replace our extremely old equipment, which we are currently still forced to use. The team is also looking to filter down the S. Fenton Busfield and the Ethel S. Busfield to the novice squads. As many know, these two eight-oared shells were graciously donated by the Busfield/Rees Family in 1996 and are near the end of their varsity racing life.
This year we are re-embarking on a capital fundraising project to purchase a new Vespoli racing shell.
The fundraiser, new to club sports, involves a series of lithograph and monotype prints of the sport of rowing and river scenes. This artwork was designed and produced by Christine Dengel (Class of 2005). Christine rowed for the club for four years, holding an executive board position for two of these years. Christine graduated in the spring of 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Art, concentration in Studio Art.

All proceeds of the fundraiser will go directly to Binghamton Crew.
