| "The Busfield Regatta drew from the foundation that had been set up as a scrimmage. The scrimmage was originally set up between RIT and us. Our teams had met eachother at the Stonehurst that year and we wanted to get a scrimmage set up between our two squads to allow each of us more racing practice in our all too short time on the water before the main regattas of Metro, States and Vails. The idea was to make it be a low key event but one that would be hosted by each of us on alternating years. But this format all changed after the squad recieved the Busfeild boats. The 1997-1998 E-Board decided that they wanted to do something more to show the squad's appreciation and build up our little scrimmage into more of a full fledge regatta. This honor was well beyond anything my family had expected. Just seeing the happiness and the pride that the rowers had getting into boats that had never been owned by another program was thanks enough." -Andrew Rees '97 | ||

| Lane markers will be every 500m. Coxswains will follow a left-hand rule for both warm-up and racing. There is approximately 800m for warm-up, and approximately 200m between the finish line and the shore. | ||

| Alumni, we miss you! Join in the fun at your favorite boathouse with the best people around. Eat a few burgers and cheer your home team on, then grab your uni because you've got a 2k to do. All alumni from all years are more than welcome.

| Race-Day Operations | ||

| Medals will be awarded to the first-place boat immediately upon docking. Coxswains may be thrown into the Susquehanna River once the docking area is clear.
The alumni race will follow the last heat. There will be t-shirts on sale at the event for ten dollars, but supplies will be limited. We will also be selling previous years' Busfield t-shirts for the discounted price of five dollars. In addition, John Bruno '09 will be selling photographs.
